Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete the data Cluetide AI holds about you. It applies to two groups of people: businesses that use Cluetide AI and connected an Instagram account, and people who commented on the Instagram posts of a business that uses Cluetide AI.

If you use Cluetide AI (business accounts)

Step 1: Disconnect your Instagram account (optional, immediate)

Sign in to Cluetide AI, go to Manage connections, and click Disconnect next to your Instagram account. This immediately deletes the access token Cluetide AI stored, so we can no longer read comments or post replies on your account. Disconnecting alone does not delete data we have already stored; for that, complete Step 3.

Step 2: Remove Cluetide AI from your Facebook settings (optional)

You can also remove Cluetide AI's access from Meta's side: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, find Cluetide AI, and click Remove.

Step 3: Request deletion of your data

Email privacy@cluetide.com from the email address on your Cluetide AI account, with the subject line "Data deletion request". Please include your business name. We send requests from the account's own email address to confirm the request is really from you.

What we delete: your Cluetide AI account and business profile; your product catalog; stored Instagram access tokens; Instagram comments we collected from your posts (comment text, commenter usernames, timestamps, post IDs and links); leads, AI classifications, and drafted replies; the record of replies Cluetide AI posted for you, including audit log entries.

If you commented on a business's Instagram post

If a business using Cluetide AI received a public comment from you on its own Instagram post, Cluetide AI may hold a copy of that comment's text, your Instagram username, and when it was posted.

To have it deleted, email privacy@cluetide.com with the subject line "Commenter data deletion request", and include your Instagram username. We may ask you to confirm you control that Instagram account before we act on the request.

What happens next

We confirm we've received your request within 5 business days.
We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity, and email you when it's done.
Deleted data is removed from our backups as those backups expire, within a further 30 days.

What we can't delete

Content on Instagram itself. Replies that were posted to Instagram stay on Instagram until the business deletes them there. Comments you posted are controlled through your own Instagram account.
Records we must keep by law, such as billing and tax records, which we keep only for as long as the law requires and use for no other purpose.
